BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (HONS.)(MULTIMEDIA)
Bachelor of Science (Hons.)(Multimedia) is an academic programme under Multimedia Technology Department in SMMTC. It requires students to take 127 credits hours to graduate.
The aim of the programme (BSc. (Hons.)(MM)) is to produce graduates with competitive knowledge, principles and skills in term of theoretical and practical foundation for designing, implementing and managing multimedia applications and also recognizing the impact of multimedia on individuals, organization and society
- To build graduates’ strong knowledge, principles and skills in multimedia.
- To develop graduates’ analytical and critical thinking skills to solve problems by applying knowledge, principles and skills in multimedia.
- To enable graduates to understand the concept of analyzing, designing, implementing and managing multimedia technology solutions and resources, and recognize the impact of multimedia technology on individuals, organization and society.
- To develop graduates’ skills that will help them to integrate various technology solutions.
- To enable graduates to understand broad business and real world perspectives of multimedia.
- To build graduates’ effective communication skills and ethical responsibilities.
Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)
Apply the knowledge and understanding of multimedia concepts, theories and practices in accordance to the needs of the local and global industries. PLO 2 Practice the skills in planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating multimedia projects. PLO 3 Exhibits good ethical values, caring, empathy and responsible to the society through good multimedia practices. PLO 4 Demonstrate professionalism through positive attitudes towards the organisation. PLO 5 Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork. PLO 6 Use critical thinking to solve problems using appropriate strategies and creativity. PLO 7 Utilize appropriate entrepreneurial skills to get business opportunities in the industries, and integrate the relevance technology into multimedia projects. PLO 8 Participate in lifelong learning and career advancement activities to keep pace with current knowledge of emerging multimedia technologies. PLO 9 Portray leadership and accountability in exercising management and decision making skills.
